About Attractiveness Tests

Attractiveness Tests is a small, independent team that builds free face tools people can actually trust. We started with one simple frustration: almost every "rate my face" or "am I attractive" site online hands you a cold number, sometimes an unkind one, and then leaves you there with no explanation. No reasons. No context. No respect. We thought that was both unhelpful and unnecessary, so we set out to build something better.

Our goal is a set of tools that are honest about what they measure, private by default, and kind in how they talk to you. Whether you land here asking "how attractive am I," "how old do I look," or "what is my face shape," you should walk away with a clear result, a simple breakdown, and a bit of encouragement — not a punch to the gut.

Our Story

The idea came from a common experience. People are naturally curious about how they come across, and they turn to the internet to find out. But the tools they find are often harsh, confusing, or worse — they quietly upload private photos to a server somewhere. We wanted to flip all three of those problems on their head at once: make the results understandable, make the tone respectful, and make the whole thing genuinely private.

So we built our tools around real facial measurement rather than guesswork, and we built them to run entirely inside your browser. That single technical choice — keeping everything on your device — solved the biggest privacy concern from day one. From there, the rest of our approach fell into place naturally.

What We Build

We currently offer four free tools, and each one does a specific job. The Attractiveness Test reads your facial symmetry, golden ratio, and proportions to give you an attractiveness score from 1 to 10 with a full feature breakdown. The Age Guesser estimates how old you appear from your photo. The Face Shape Detector measures your proportions to identify your face shape — oval, round, square, heart, diamond, or oblong — and offers styling tips. The Face Rater gives your photo a quick rating out of 10 based on overall balance and quality.

All four tools share the same engine and the same values. They read a clear, front-facing photo, analyse it in seconds, and show you a result you can understand. None of them require an account, a payment, or an app download. You upload a photo, you get an answer, and you move on with your day.

How Our Scoring Works

We don't believe in random numbers. Our scoring is grounded in published research on facial aesthetics — the same ideas that artists, mathematicians, and scientists have explored for centuries. Two of the biggest are facial symmetry and the golden ratio.

Facial symmetry measures how closely the left and right sides of your face mirror each other. Research consistently shows that people tend to find symmetrical faces more attractive, partly because our brains associate symmetry with health. The golden ratio, roughly 1.618, is a proportion that appears throughout nature and shows up in faces widely considered attractive. Our tools measure real landmark points on your face and compare your proportions to these standards.

Because we measure actual geometry, our results are consistent. Upload the same photo twice and you'll get the same score. That reliability is one of the biggest differences between a serious tool and a gimmick that spits out a different number every time. At the same time, we're honest about the limits: geometry is a major part of attractiveness, but it isn't everything. Charisma, warmth, style, and confidence never show up in a landmark map, and we say so plainly throughout the site.

Our Privacy Promise

This is the part we care about most. Your photo never leaves your device. When you upload an image, the analysis happens locally in your browser using code that runs on your own computer or phone. Nothing is sent to us. Nothing is stored on a server. Nothing is shared with a third party. The moment you close the tab, your photo is gone for good.

We built the tools this way on purpose, because privacy shouldn't be a checkbox buried in a policy — it should be baked into how the product works. You can read the full details on our Privacy Policy page, but the short version is simple: we don't want your photos, we don't collect them, and we designed the whole system so we couldn't even if we wanted to.

Our Approach to Beauty

We think a beauty tool carries a responsibility. People often arrive feeling a little vulnerable, and a careless result can genuinely hurt. That's why we made a firm decision early on: we never use the word "ugly." Every result leads with your strengths first, then offers honest, practical tips on what you could work on if you want to.

We also try to keep everything in perspective. A score is a data point, not a verdict. It can tell you which of your features line up neatly with classical proportions, and it can point you toward small, realistic changes — better lighting, a flattering haircut, clearer skin, stronger posture. But it can't tell you your worth, and it never will. The most attractive version of anyone is usually the confident, comfortable version, and no algorithm can measure that.

Who The Tools Are For

Our tools are for anyone who's curious. Some people use them once for fun. Others are on a self-improvement journey and want to track how a new routine changes their photos over time. Content creators use them to find their best angles. People experimenting with a new hairstyle or glasses use the face shape detector to guide their choices. Everyone is welcome, and everyone gets the same fair, respectful analysis regardless of age, gender, or background.

We do ask that our tools are used by people aged 16 and over, and we ask everyone to only upload photos they have the right to use. Beyond that, our door is open.

Staying Honest

We review and update our tools regularly. As research evolves and as we learn from feedback, we refine how the scoring works and how we explain it. If something feels off, we'd rather fix it than defend it. That's why feedback matters so much to us — it's the single best way we improve.

We're not trying to be the flashiest beauty site on the internet. We're trying to be the most honest and the most respectful one. If we've done our job, you'll leave knowing a little more about your face, feeling a little better about yourself, and trusting that your privacy stayed intact the whole time.
